Pregnancy Week 9What are the changes in growth and development of your fetus?

 

The intestines start to develop and occupy themselves within the fetal abdominal cavity. The bones as well as the cartilage also begin to form. The tongue development occurs and the basic eye structure is developed so far.

 

The fingers and the thumbs are developed but still short and webbed. They will develop further and later on…

What changes are expected in you, mom?

 

Well, you are feeling the breast tenderness or your breasts are growing larger or become swollen and fuller than ever before… it’s under the influence of the hormones. They are preparing your breasts for the lactation.

You also may have a heart burn or indigestion---well that’s all again due to the hormonal imbalances.

 

What’s your role dad---Dad’s support?

 

Dad, at this moment you feel like a romancing Romeo ---don’t lie? Yes you are the changes in the physique of your partner makes you feel so, you feel her more beautiful now and you are just helpless; you can’t stop yourself from thinking about sex. But what’s Mom thinking; how’s she reacting to your acts? She is under hormonal influence—may be she feels as energetic as you or she is just feeling interest less. Check it out. You may have a concept that it may hurt your baby but it doesn’t--- have a frank discussion with your partner and the doctor or midwife to reduce your fears.
