Pregnancy Week 6(COUNTING FROM THE FIRST DAY OF L.M.P)

 

AROUND 4 WEEK AFTER CONCEPTION

 

What are the changes in growth and development of your fetus?

 

Around the 5th week the mesoderm had already developed the pulsating tube to form the heart and the circulatory system. Now it is the time for the fetal heart to work – starting pumping ah! So at this stage fetal heart is preparing to pump the blood.

 

This week is marked by the rapid growth. The embryo measures around 1/17 of an inch long. The development of the umbilical cord also occurs now only. Other organs that are developing include the eyes and ear, mouth, face occurs.

The structures of locomotion – the limbs will develop later on. At present only their precursors the buds are formed.

 

What changes are expected in you, mom?

 

Mom, you may be feeling at the top of your world now---! Isn’t it? Sure, why not? You should be. After all you are going to be a Mom.

 

Your emotional state may be either such that you want to disclose this happiness to your loved ones and all or you may fear of miscarriages and stay away from telling.

 

At this turn, the family and friends can prove to be a great and useful support.

 

What’s your role dad---Dad’s support?

 

Dad, can’t you help Mom to relax from morning sickness. Moms still feel nauseating; the morning sickness may get aggravated by the certain smells...

 

Tips for tackling the morning sickness:

 

Keep off all the things like tea, coffee that are a cause.

 

Start with the glucose water or water with glucose biscuits while Mom’s still on the bed.

 

Encourage Mom to have plenty of oral fluids.

 

Explain her to dangle her feet before getting up from the bed.

 

Don’t let her to do any of the household chores for the time being; he may not feel like doing; instead, offer your helping hand to her in all work.
