(COUNTING FROM THE FIRST DAY OF THE L.M.P):
AROUND 3 WEEKS FOLLOWING CONCEPTION:
What are the changes in growth and development of your fetus?
The developing inner mass becomes the embryo with the formation of three distinct layers namely endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm from within out side.
Each layer will develop into the different parts and systems of the fetal body. The top layer that is ectoderm develops into the nervous system (which includes the brain, spinal cord) and the skin and the hair.
The middle layer or the mesoderm forms the heart and the circulatory system, renal system and the reproductive system, musculoskeletal system, etc.
The endoderm, the inner most layer forms the intestines, pancreas, liver (gastro-intestinal system) and the bladder.
What changes are expected in you, mom?
The missed period may make you think- you are pregnant or not? You can’t just wait now as you are eager to know the result? You can try out the commercially available pregnancy test kits, or you can think to visit your doctor…it’s all your wish, mom.
Congratulations! You are going to be MOM!
Some symptoms may now begin to come up such as the fatigue, breast enlargement, fatigue, morning sickness and increased frequency of urination. The frequency of urination is a result of the pressure of uterus on the bladder which forces the urine within it.
All these symptoms may not be seen in all the woman and also they vary in the intensity and duration. This period may increase your hunger as your body demands more food if you are pregnant.
Have a good diet and sound rest and quiet sleep……
What’s your role dad---Dad’s support?
