What are the changes in growth and development of your fetus?
I don’t have space to move around, .so I wanna come out! The baby has now no more space to move comfortably so anytime the baby will be pushed down.
The lungs are gaining their final maturity that will help the baby to breathe outside comfortably and survive nicely in the extra uterine environment. The surfactant production is also increased. The baby now weighs about 7 pounds.
What changes are expected in you, mom?
Easy breathing now! That’s due to the lightening which means your uterus has come down with the baby settling into your pelvis, this reduces the pressure on your diaphragm and you can breathe better and with ease.
The uterus is now positioned between the xiphi sternum and the navel (8 inches above the navel)
