PREGNANCY WEEK 33

(COUNTING FROM THE FIRST DAY OF L.M.P)

Pregnancy Week 33AROUND 31 WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION

What are the changes in growth and development of your fetus?

The head size increases during this week. The liquor amnii surrounding the fetus is at its peak level. This amount remains throughout until the labor.

There is adipose tissue accumulation—that is the fat tissue continues to collect in the baby’s skin giving it a pink color. Thus the further changes take place in the fetus.

What changes are expected in you, mom?

At this point of time you can feel that you are gaining weight; you can well appreciate the changes in the weight during your regular visits to the doctor.

You can also notice the edema but that’s normal; in case you find it is severe, you have headache, fainting, nausea, vomiting---you need to consult your doctor and care giver immediately. The signs of pre-eclampsia might be developed. They include the rise in the blood pressure, edema formation, presence of the protein in the urine. Check out with your care giver.

What’s your role dad---Dad’s support?

You now know that very soon your wife will give birth to child. You start thinking of announcing your baby’s warm welcome to this world and yours too—but how, that’s your worry. Work out patiently on the birth announcement list of the friends, relatives and the near and dear ones.
