PREGNANCY WEEK 11

AROUND 9 WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION:
Great development so far! The fetal size grows to 1 inch and may extend up to 2 inches by this weekend. Almost essential part of fetal growth and development is finished by now all that remains is the maturity and the activation of the systems.
The fetal head is half its length; the fetal eyes remain closed and the iris starts to develop. The placenta comes into action now; till now it was jut developing now the time to function actively has come. So now onwards it’s the placenta that will nourish your fetus. The blood vessels have well organized themselves in between the uterine bed and the placenta; thus the blood circulation of blood will start from mom to the fetus and it will receive all the nutrients and grow well, develop well.
What changes are expected in you, mom?
You may notice that you are relaxing now as the nauseating feeling has diminished. The uterus is growing well and continues to do so.
