Birth Control

The sperms introduced into the vagina through the semen travel through the fallopian tube & fertilise the transported ovum from ovary in tubal ampulla. This is how the fertilization of ovum occurs, which undergoes a number of changes after which an embryo, foetus are formed & which at last becomes or we can call it as a baby after delivery.

The birth control refers to the methods employed to space out the births & to stop the birth of anymore undesired child.

As per present scenario, all wish to have atleast 1 to 2 children only. The people need to be educated about the birth control especially people who are illiterate & unaware of these measures & as a result they turn out to be a big family. The small children then become the burden as they find themselves incapable of meeting their needs.

There are mostly two methods of the birth control which includes the temporary and the permanent methods. The birth control is the aspect covered in the family welfare or family planning. These are the methods that help a lot in spacing out the births and aid the couples in leading a more happy and relaxed as well as satisfactory life.

However this concept of birth control is not yet communicated easily and smoothly to those who are the inhabitants of the distinct rural and remote areas. This perhaps may be the reason as to why there is still the population rise and the ratio of the child birth on its way to increase amongst these communities. All that is really needed is the correct and accurate information about the family planning methods and the approaches to it in the nation.

The methods of the birth control are the ones that must be known to the couples who can space out the births in their family and shape out and create a nice smaller family with one or two children. Now let’s have a talk on the birth control measures or the methods.

The temporary are the ones that include the condoms, oral contraceptive pills, hormonal vaginal gels or the sponges or the foams or sprays.

The best and widely used method of temporary birth control is the IUCD intrauterine contraceptive devices that consist of the two varieties: CU-T (copper-T) and the Lippes loop. However the use of the Lippes loop has been out dated and the priority and choice is given to the CU-T. They all are the methods of spacing out the births, mostly employed when the further child is desired by the couple.

The permanent methods of the birth controls include the surgical approach. The male and the female sterilization are the surgical interventions of the family planning or the birth control.

The male sterilization is commonly known as the vasectomy and the female sterilization is called as the tubectomy or more perfectly as the tubal ligation. It becomes a matter of great concern and confidence must be ensured to perform the surgery as the legal aspects are involved in it.
